National Snow Skiing cum Trekking & Training Program, Auli 2027

On heavy demand from its members, YHAI runs this national snow skiing cum trekking and training programme at Auli in Uttarakhand. It is built for beginners - no skiing experience is needed to join.

Skiing in India takes place mostly in the northern states, where the Himalaya give long descents that few other places can match. Auli's slopes sit above Joshimath, reached by one of the longest cable cars in Asia.

If there is not enough snow on the ski slopes, suitable alternatives such as trekking are arranged instead.

What the Fee Includes

• Stay at Hotel Rocks and Pine, Auli, three to a room
• Meals
• Skiing equipment and ski instructors
• A caretaker and helper on the slope
• One return chair car ticket per person on the last day of the course
• Group insurance

What to Bring

• Warm clothes and socks
• Hand gloves, cap and snow goggles
• Water bottle
• Sunscreen, minimum SPF 30
• Toothbrush, toothpaste and toiletries
• Camera and personal medicines

The route and schedule may change without prior notice, depending on local conditions.

Cancellation Method

• Participants booked online must cancel online a minimum of 05 days prior to the reporting date.
• Participants booked offline must email trekking@yhaindia.org a minimum of 05 days prior to the reporting date.
• Requests received less than 05 days before the reporting date are not eligible for credit shell or refund.

Credit Shell

• 100% credit shell of the participation fee, valid till 31st December 2026, usable on any YHAI adventure program.
• If the next program is cheaper, the balance can be used on another trek; if costlier, pay the difference.
• Seats may be transferred to family or friends (transferred seats cannot be re-transferred or cancelled).

Refund

• Alternatively, participants may opt for a 50% refund instead of the 100% credit shell, subject to the same notice conditions.

Note: If a program is cancelled due to natural calamity, government restriction or withdrawal of permission, YHAI is accountable only for the program fee and not for other expenses incurred by participants.
