Overview
The biking trail travels from the Arabian Sea coast to Netravali village in the magnificent Sahyadri Western Ghats, recognised as one of the top ten biodiversity spots in the world. The journey moves across forests and the ecologically devastated mining belt in Sanguem, winds from the Bondla wildlife sanctuary to the calm banks of the River Mandovi, and visits the UNESCO World Heritage site of Old Goa.
The trail encompasses the entire range of what Goa has to offer, historically and naturally - from the coastline to the midlands to the mountain ranges. It is a huge experience of a varied land, a rich heritage and an interesting diversity of people who are proud of their land, culture and tradition.
Eight batches of 25 riders run on alternate days through December, riding roughly 30 to 62 km each day on geared cycles provided by YHAI.
