- Helmet and Riding Gear? Helmets provided; other gear for rent
- Accommodation? Separate rooms for men/women (6 per room or 8 per tent)
- Luggage? Transported by truck; only small backpack needed
- Required Documents? Aadhar card, driving license, RTPCR report (96 hrs for Leh), medical certificate, passport-sized photos
- Road Conditions? Mix of well-maintained roads, rocky terrain, muddy patches, and sharp turns

Selection Criteria
- At least 2-3 cross-state motorbike rides
- Physically fit for high-altitude rides
- Valid Indian Driving License required
- Single riders only (no pillion riders)
- Selection at the discretion of YHAI.

- After payment, Admit Card will be generated. Bring it along with Trekking Medical Certificate and Membership Card (temporary card accepted) to the Base Camp 🏕️

Day-wise Schedule
Morning: Arrive in Leh , check-in, and complete documentation.
Afternoon: Rest to acclimatize to the high altitude.
Evening: Orientation session to brief participants on the journey, safety guidelines, and motorbike handling.
Morning: Allotment of motorbikes and a briefing about the day's ride.
Destinations:
Sangam: The confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.
Magnetic Hill: A place where gravity seems to defy the natural laws.
Pathar Sahib Gurudwara: A revered spiritual site with a rich history.
Spituk Monastery: A stunning monastery offering panoramic views.
Hall of Fame: A museum dedicated to honoring the bravery of the Indian Army.
Morning: Start the ride early and ascend to Changla Pass (17,688 ft).
Lunch: Hot lunch at Thangtse village.
Afternoon: Visit the mesmerizing Pangong Lake , known for its ever-changing shades of blue.
Evening: Return to Thangtse for dinner and overnight stay.
Morning: Ride through breathtaking landscapes alongside the Shyok River .
Afternoon: Arrive at Nubra Valley and visit Hunder , famous for its sand dunes and Bactrian camels .
Optional Activities: Enjoy camel rides, ATV rides, and other activities at Hunder (additional cost).
Evening: Explore the dunes and enjoy a peaceful evening.
Overnight Stay: At Nubra Valley in Hunder .
Morning: Visit Diskit Monastery , home to the iconic Buddha statue and offering breathtaking views of the valley.
Ride: Ascend to Khardungla Pass (17,982 ft), one of the highest motorable roads in the world.
Afternoon: Descend and return to Leh .
Evening: Relax and overnight stay in Leh .
Morning: Checkout after breakfast.
End of Expedition.

Accommodation Facilities
- Shared tents with common toilet-cum-bathroom facilities.
Safety & Security
- YHAI Group Insurance covers accidental death or permanent disability only.
- Recommendation : Get personal insurance for additional coverage.
- YHAI ensures safety measures but isn't responsible for accidents, illness, or unforeseen events during the program.
How to Reach
By Bus
- Route 1: From Srinagar (434 km) via Sonmarg, Zozila Pass, Kargil.
- Route 2: From Manali (474 km) via Keylong, Baralacha, Tanglangla, Upsi.
- By Air : Daily flights to Leh from Delhi, Jammu, and Srinagar.
- By Train : Nearest stations are Jammu, Pathankot, and Chandigarh (approx. 3 days travel).
- Note : No prepaid mobile services in Leh; postpaid services (Airtel, BSNL) work.
Important Notes
- Program schedule and route may change without prior notice.
- Deviation from Schedule : Any extra activities are at your own risk and responsibility after the official program ends.
- Staying Outside YHAI Camp : Not allowed during the program.
Environment-Friendly Policy
- No littering; carry any wrappers/plastic you find on the route.
- No burning wood for campfires; carrying non-biodegradable materials is an offense.
Reporting on Previous Day
- Available on a paid basis.
Risk Factors
This program involves high-risk factors like
- Altitude Sickness (Pulmonary Oedema)

- Falls during climbs/descents
- Other unforeseen circumstances
- Note : YHAI assists in emergencies but cannot be held responsible for risks (injury, disability, or death).
Required Items to Bring
- For Indian Nationals : Valid driving license
- For Foreign Nationals : Valid international driving license
- Biking Gear : Gloves, jacket, cotton shirts, pullovers, jeans/trousers, mufflers, cap, water-resistant gloves, shoes, woolen socks, water bottle, lunchbox, goggles, cold cream, sunscreen, tissues, and personal medications.

How to Enroll
Online Booking
- Register at www.yhaindia.org or www.yhai.in .
- Payment via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card .
- After payment, Admit Card is generated. Bring the Admit Card, Trekking Medical Certificate, and Membership Card (printout accepted) to the Base Camp .

Cancellation Policy
Online Bookings
- Participants who have booked online must cancel their booking online through the website at least 5 days before the reporting date.
Offline Bookings
- Participants who have booked offline must send a cancellation request by email to trekking@yhaindia.org at least 5 days before the reporting date.
Eligibility for Cancellation
- Only cancellations made within the above timeline are eligible for a credit shell or refund.
- Cancellation requests received less than 5 days before the reporting date will not be entertained and are not eligible for a credit shell or refund.
Refund
- Participants opting for a refund will get 50% of the paid program fee.
- The refund is processed only after completion of the program.
Credit Shell
- Participants opting for a credit shell receive 100% of the paid participation fee as credit, valid until 31 December 2027.
- The credit shell may be used for any program organised by the YHAI National Office, or by YHAI State Branches and Units that operate a credit shell policy on their programs.
- The credit shell can only be used against treks and programs. It cannot be adjusted against membership fees or hostel bookings.
Adjustment of Credit Shell
- If the new program costs less than the available credit, the balance may be used for another eligible trek or program until 31 December 2027.
- If the new program costs more, the difference must be paid by the participant.
No Further Cancellation
- A program booked using a credit shell cannot be cancelled, or converted into another credit shell or refund, under any circumstances.
Transfer of Seats
- A confirmed seat may be transferred to a family member or friend. Once transferred, the seat cannot be transferred again or cancelled.
