Leh-Ladakh Adventure Program (9 Days)

YHAI offers Group Insurance for accidental death or permanent disability only. Personal insurance for travel and health is strongly recommended . While we prioritize your safety with experienced leaders and detailed planning, YHAI is not liable for accidents, illness, or other unforeseen events.
How to Reach Leh Base Camp
By Bus
- Route 1 : Srinagar → Sonmarg → Zozila Pass → Kargil → Leh (434 km)
- Route 2 : Manali → Keylong → Baralacha → Tanglangla → Upsi → Leh (474 km) Bus services by HRTC, J&K SRTC, and Himachal Tourism with overnight halts.
By Air
- Flights available daily from Delhi, Jammu, Srinagar to Leh .
By Train
- Nearest stations: Jammu , Pathankot , Chandigarh (Require 2–3 days road journey to Leh)
Mobile Connectivity
- Only postpaid services (Airtel, BSNL) work in the Leh-Ladakh region. Prepaid SIMs are not valid .
- Note : Routes and schedule may change based on weather or local conditions .
- What to Bring
- Woolens & cotton clothes

- First-aid kit & regular medicines
- Lunch box (for packed meals)
- Important Participant Guidelines
- Stick to the schedule - Deviations are not allowed during the program.
- Stay inside YHAI camps only for the entire duration.
- Eco-friendly camp - No littering. Use designated bins.
- No campfires using wood. Avoid non-biodegradable items (as per J&K rules).
- Previous-day reporting is allowed (paid option).
- Risk Advisory
- This is a high-risk adventure with challenging motorbiking on Himalayan passes .
Risks may include
- High altitude sickness (Pulmonary Oedema)
- Stress/exhaustion from tough drives
- Falls or injuries (minor to serious)
- Other unforeseen circumstances YHAI will assist but is not liable for injury, disability, or death.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Method
- Participants booked online must cancel online a minimum of 05 days prior to the reporting date.
- Participants booked offline must email trekking@yhaindia.org a minimum of 05 days prior to the reporting date.
- Requests received less than 05 days before the reporting date are not eligible for credit shell or refund.
Credit Shell
- 100% credit shell of the participation fee, valid till 31st December 2026, usable on any YHAI adventure programme.
- If the next programme is cheaper, the balance can be used on another trek; if costlier, pay the difference.
- Seats may be transferred to family or friends (transferred seats cannot be re-transferred or cancelled).
Refund
- Alternatively, participants may opt for a 50% refund instead of the 100% credit shell, subject to the same notice conditions.
Note: If a programme is cancelled due to natural calamity, government restriction or withdrawal of permission, YHAI is accountable only for the programme fee and not for other expenses incurred by participants.
