- From Srinagar (434 km via Sonmarg, Zozila, Kargil)
- From Manali (474 km via Keylong, Baralacha, Tanglangla)
- By Air: Daily flights from Delhi, Jammu, Srinagar
- By Train: Nearest stations: Jammu, Pathankot, Chandigarh (3 days by road)
- Note: Only postpaid SIMs work in Ladakh (Airtel, BSNL)
- What to Bring
- Valid Driving License (International for foreign nationals)
- Warm & cotton clothes, jacket, gloves, cap, woollen socks, waterproof gear
- Sport/leather shoes, sunscreen, cold cream, first-aid kit, personal medicines
- Plates, mugs, water bottle, lunchbox, etc.
- Note: Helmets provided. Other riding gear available on rent. No sponsor flags or ads allowed.
- Important Notices
- Stick to the program schedule. No alternate stays allowed.
- Don’t litter. Follow eco-friendly practices.
- No campfires using wood; carrying non-biodegradable items is a legal offense in J&K

- This is a high-risk motorbiking expedition through Himalayan terrain. Risks include:
- High altitude sickness (Pulmonary Oedema)
- Falls or injuries due to rugged roads
- Stress/fatigue-related issues
- Serious accidents or disability
- YHAI is not liable for any accidents or health issues but will provide assistance.

- Are helmets and gear provided?
- Helmets: Yes | Jackets, gloves, guards: On rent
- Accommodation type?
- Separate for men/women. 6 per room, 8 per tent.
- What about luggage?
- Carried in a support truck. Keep only essentials in a backpack while riding.
- Documents needed?
- Aadhar, original driving license (+copies), RTPCR (within 96 hrs of Leh arrival), Medical Certificate, Photos
- Road conditions?
- Mix of good roads, rocky tracks, snow/ice, and sharp curves with steep drops
- What should I carry?
- Personal items, sports shoes, face masks, rainwear, plates, water bottle, sunscreen
- Weather?
- Unpredictable. Expect cold winds, sun, or rain-sunscreen is a must.
- Extra expenses?
- ₹5,000 refundable bike security deposit

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Method
- Participants booked online must cancel online a minimum of 05 days prior to the reporting date.
- Participants booked offline must email trekking@yhaindia.org a minimum of 05 days prior to the reporting date.
- Requests received less than 05 days before the reporting date are not eligible for credit shell or refund.
Credit Shell
- 100% credit shell of the participation fee, valid till 31st December 2026, usable on any YHAI adventure programme.
- If the next programme is cheaper, the balance can be used on another trek; if costlier, pay the difference.
- Seats may be transferred to family or friends (transferred seats cannot be re-transferred or cancelled).
Refund
- Alternatively, participants may opt for a 50% refund instead of the 100% credit shell, subject to the same notice conditions.
Note: If a programme is cancelled due to natural calamity, government restriction or withdrawal of permission, YHAI is accountable only for the programme fee and not for other expenses incurred by participants.
