* About Program
- Discover the Joy of Togetherness with YHAI Family Camps
- At Youth Hostels Association of India (YHAI), we believe that the best journeys are the ones shared-and our Family Camps are thoughtfully designed to bring families closer while creating unforgettable experiences in the lap of nature.
- Unlike conventional holidays, a YHAI Family Camp offers a vibrant group environment where fun, learning, and bonding go hand in hand. Imagine your family exploring scenic trails, participating in engaging group activities, and sharing laughter-filled evenings with like-minded families. The energy of a group adds a whole new dimension to travel-making every moment more exciting, interactive, and meaningful.
- One of the most rewarding aspects of our Family Camps is the incredible impact they have on children. In a safe and nurturing environment, children step beyond their comfort zones, make new friends, and develop essential life skills. We often see them becoming more confident, communicative, and independent-something that is rarely experienced during a typical solo family trip.
- For parents, it’s equally fulfilling-to watch their children grow, to connect with other families, and to be part of a community that values simplicity, adventure, and togetherness.
- With YHAI, you don’t just go on a holiday-you become part of a larger family. Our camps are not just about destinations, but about shared stories, lifelong friendships, and memories that stay with you forever.
- Come, be a part of the YHAI Family Camp-where every journey brings families closer.
- Note:- These programs are exclusively for YHAI members. Membership is also available at Base Camp/Online/State Branch/Units of YHAI. YHAI programmes are not subsidized by the Government or any donors.
- *Flora and Fauna
- The Kashmir Valley is a treasure trove of natural wealth, home to over 3,000 species of plants and trees . In fact, the valley boasts around 55 species of high-value medicinal and aromatic plants , making it an important ecological and economic resource.
- Equally remarkable is the valley’s diverse wildlife, shaped by its unique geography and climate. The Kashmir Valley is home to approximately 75 species of mammals , along with numerous sub-species, representing a wide range of genera, families, and ecological groups.
