Fee and Inclusions
- Program fee: Rs. 32,000 per family (husband, wife and two children under 10 years).
- Rs. 15,000 for each child over 10 years.
- Included: stay, food, sightseeing by jeep, Nathula permit, Pelling cable car and Ravangla entry fee. Other entry fees are borne by the family.

- All YHAI members, and new or spot members where available, who are over 18 years of age
How to Reach the Base Camp
- Gangtok is 120 km from Bagdogra, Siliguri and New Jalpaiguri. Pelling is 130 km from the same three.
- Nearest railway station: New Jalpaiguri Junction
- Nearest airport: Bagdogra
- From the airport or railway station: a shared or private taxi takes around 8 hours to reach the base camp

What Participants Should Bring Along
- Personal belongings, rain sheet, personal medicines, cotton shirts and trousers, bed sheet, shoes, two pairs of socks, water bottle, lunch box, mug, plate, tumbler, toilet set, cold cream and a first aid kit.
Day-wise Schedule
Reach Gangtok on your own from Bagdogra, Siliguri or New Jalpaiguri. Meet at the hotel; dinner is served.
Nathula Pass - a short climb through snow to the India-China border. Changu Lake at 12,300 ft, with a yak ride, then Baba Mandir and Hanuman Tok.
Ganesh Tok for the panoramic view over Gangtok, Tashi View Point for the majestic view of Kanchenjunga, Banjhakri Falls and the famous MG Marg.
Ravangla Buddhist Park with its 130-foot statue of the Buddha, then Chardham at Namchi, a vast pilgrim centre built on a hilltop. Overnight at Pelling.
Pelling Buddha Park, the sky walk, the cable car and Kanchenjunga Falls. Overnight at Pelling.
The camp disperses at Pelling after breakfast.
Facts & Eligibility
Safety & Security
- Extensive and painstaking preparations have gone into the planning of your safety. Our field staff and experienced camp leaders have been visiting the area to check all details. While every care has been taken to ensure safety, YHAI cannot be held responsible for any accident, illness or other unforeseen eventuality.
Additional Notes
- Smoking and the use of alcohol or narcotics of any description is strictly prohibited during the program.
- Staying anywhere other than YHAI accommodation is not allowed for the duration of the program.
- This is an environment-friendly program. Please do not litter wrappers or spoil the trail in any way.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Method
- Participants booked online must cancel online a minimum of 05 days prior to the reporting date.
- Participants booked offline must email trekking@yhaindia.org a minimum of 05 days prior to the reporting date.
- Requests received less than 05 days before the reporting date are not eligible for credit shell or refund.
Credit Shell
- 100% credit shell of the participation fee, valid till 31st December 2026, usable on any YHAI adventure program.
- If the next program is cheaper, the balance can be used on another trek; if costlier, pay the difference.
- Seats may be transferred to family or friends (transferred seats cannot be re-transferred or cancelled).
Refund
- Alternatively, participants may opt for a 50% refund instead of the 100% credit shell, subject to the same notice conditions.
Note: If a program is cancelled due to natural calamity, government restriction or withdrawal of permission, YHAI is accountable only for the program fee and not for other expenses incurred by participants.
