Explore the hidden gem of Shergaon, a serene Himalayan village known for its rich Sherdukpen heritage. Wander through the picturesque Sangti Valley, where lush meadows, crystal-clear streams and snow-clad peaks create a postcard-perfect setting. Experience the charm of Dirang and visit the scenic Chug Village, one of Arunachal's oldest Monpa settlements.
Journey across the magnificent Sela Pass (13,700 ft), one of India's highest motorable mountain passes, and continue to Tawang, the spiritual heart of Arunachal Pradesh - home to India's largest monastery. The adventure culminates at Bum La Pass (15,200 ft), a historic high-altitude frontier on the Indo-China border, and the surreal Madhuri Lake (Sangestar Lake).
From peaceful valleys and timeless villages to sacred monasteries and soaring mountain passes, this expedition is a perfect blend of nature, culture, history and adventure - an unforgettable journey into the heart of the Eastern Himalayas.

Day-wise Schedule
Day 1: Guwahati to Shergaon (215 km, about 6 hours). Departure 6:00 AM from Guwahati. Drive through the lush foothills of Assam into Arunachal Pradesh via Balemu. Overnight: Shergaon.
Day 2: Shergaon to Dirang (90 km, about 4 hours). Explore Sangti Valley - a breathtaking river valley with emerald meadows and traditional villages - and Chug Village, a serene Himalayan settlement preserving authentic Monpa traditions. Overnight: Dirang.
Day 3: Dirang to Tawang via Sela Pass (125 km, about 3.5 hours). Cross Sela Pass (13,700 ft) with its snow-clad peaks and the stunning Sela Lake, passing spectacular Himalayan landscapes and waterfalls. Overnight: Tawang.
Day 4: Tawang local sightseeing - Tawang Monastery (India's largest and the second largest in the world), the moving Tawang War Memorial, local markets and viewpoints. Overnight: Tawang.
Day 5: Bum La Pass and Madhuri Lake excursion. Visit Bum La Pass (15,200 ft) on the Indo-China border and the surreal Madhuri Lake (Sangestar Lake), formed by an earthquake and surrounded by snow-capped peaks. Overnight: Tawang.
Day 6: Tawang to Dirang via Sela Pass. Pause at scenic viewpoints and waterfalls; evening at leisure in Dirang. Overnight: Dirang.
Day 7: Dirang to Guwahati (305 km, 8-9 hours). Arrive in Guwahati by evening - tour ends with unforgettable Himalayan memories.

What Participants Should Bring Along
- Original photo identity proof with photocopies - Aadhaar / Driving License / Passport / Voter Card (4 copies)

Important Notes
- The visit to Bum La is subject to government permissions and the participant's medical fitness; the YHAI representative's decision on eligibility is final and binding.
- If the program is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, YHAI's liability is limited solely to the refund of the program fee.
- Any kind of intoxication is strictly prohibited in YHAI programs; strict action will be taken if the rule is broken.
- Misbehaviour with the coordinators will result in immediate removal from the program.
- Respect the local culture and traditions, be disciplined, and follow rules and regulations.

Cancellation Policy
- The seat is 100% transferable with at least 5 days prior notice.
- 60% refund on cancellations received 30 days prior to the program, or a credit voucher of the full amount.
- No refund on any cancellation received less than 30 days prior to the date of reporting.
- The credit voucher can only be used in programs organized by the Maharashtra State Branch or exclusively by the National Office.
